Veterinary Care

Animal Welfare Center provides assistance with veterinary costs on a limited basis. You MUST read everything on this page before submitting an application.

---> NOTE: being retired, receiving social security and living on a fixed income does NOT in and of itself qualify you to apply for assistance. You MUST receive some form of government assistance (such as food stamps, disability etc. ) according to this list.

---> NOTE: this assistance is for SICK dogs/cats only and does NOT INCLUDE spay/neuter or general routine care (such as vaccinations or flea treatment). For routine care, consider making an appointment at our monthly low-cost Vaccination Clinic (which include other services than just vaccines)

---> NOTE: submitting an application does NOT automatically result in approval. We will contact you after we have received your application. Funding is limited.

---> NOTE: You may qualify for veterinary care assistance through Ohio Paws with Purpose . They have programs to assist with vet visits, euthanasia and surgery.

---> NOTE: Consider the low-cost veterinary clinics  before applying for assistance as you may be able to afford them

---> NOTE: Consider CareCredit or ScratchPay before applying for assistance

---> NOTE: Ask family and friends for financial help before applying for assistance. Please do NOT apply if you have other ways to get help for your Pet(s). Our limited funds are needed by families and pets WITH NO OTHER OPTION (and even then, we are very limited in what we can do as we depend on donations for this program)
